| Abstract | The performance of 7 methods for estimating the long-wave atmospheric radiation flux (L..!-) were analyzed for data obtained in a site in the Southem Mato Grosso Pantanal (19°33'48,2"S; 57°00'53,8"W), during the dry period of 1999. The estimates from these formulations underestimate L..!- values, when compared to the measurements. Using locally correlated coefficients, the estimate of L..!- from the Brutsaert and the Prata models showed the best results. Notwithstanding, they should be used with CaTe, because they were adjusted for a situation with the presence of fiTes near the site. |
